The capital market watchdog, with the aim of creating more liquidity and stock market prosperity, has always tried to make decisions that have a positive impact on market trends and investors are confident that the organization always protects their interests.

Tehran, March.  08 (SENA)-Razieh Sabbaghian, Director of Supervision of Financial Institutions of the Securities and Exchange Organization, while stating the above and pointing out that managing the supply and demand of shares in the market due to the activity of investment funds is one of the most important issues in the capital market today, told Securities and Exchange News Agency (Sena), said: in the meetings that were held in the presence of the chairman and esteemed members of the board of directors of the Securities and Exchange Organization and real and legal investors, a concern was raised with the issue of reviewing the quorum of investment in stocks of fixed income investment funds .

He added: "According to this, the Securities and Exchange Organization, with the aim of improving the stock trading process and facilitating the injection of part of bank deposits into stock transactions, decided to invest in stocks again for fixed income investment funds."

He added: "According to the resolution dated 12.12.99 of the Board of Directors of the Securities and Exchange Organization, fixed-income equity investment funds are required to invest at least 15 and at most 25% of the total value of the fund's assets in shares, preemptive shares and contracts." The option to trade stocks listed on the Tehran Stock Market or the first and second OTC markets of Iran, certificates of commodity deposits listed on the stock Market and investment units of investment funds.

Razieh Sabbaghian continued: "In addition, the maximum investment limit of the mentioned funds in securities with fixed income issued by the government (with the guarantee of the Program and Budget Organization) was set at 30%." Accordingly, the new investment of the funds in these securities must be such that it does not exceed 30% of the fund's assets, and of course, there is no obligation to sell the securities previously purchased by the funds.

The Director of Supervision of Financial Institutions of the Securities and  Exchange Organization reminded: Observance of notification requirements, including the quorum subject to the recent approval by the Securities and Exchange Organization, monitoring and observance of this approval when considering applications for renewal and raising the ceiling of investment funds.
